Our Story
Nestled in the pristine Himalayan foothills of Solan, Himachal Pradesh — a scenic drive from Shimla, Kasauli and Chandigarh — Ekant was born from a singular belief — that true luxury is found in harmony with nature, not in spite of it.
Ekant — meaning ‘solitude’ in Sanskrit — invites you to step away from the noise of the world and into a sanctuary where every detail honours the land, the seasons, and the human soul.

Just six keys in total — three suites and three cottages — so that the mountain, not the resort, remains the loudest thing you hear.
Why Come Here
This isn't a stay you watch from a balcony. You'll plant, forage, walk, and sit with the people who call this mountain home — the days are made of doing, not just looking.
Our Commitment
Sustainability is not our marketing — it is our operating principle. Every decision at Ekant is measured against its impact on the Himalayan ecosystem we are privileged to call home.
Solar panels and micro-hydro power our entire resort, with zero grid dependency.
Completely plastic-free across all operations, packaging, and guest amenities.
Our organic gardens supply 70% of all restaurant ingredients through every season.
80% of our team are local Himachali community members, trained and fairly compensated.

Good to Know
Ekant Himalayas is an intimate 6-key eco-resort — 3 suites and 3 cottages — set at 6,400ft in Himachal Pradesh, built with local stone, timber and craft. Guests are hosted at two in-house restaurants, ALTO for wood-fired Italian food and AANCH for Himachali cuisine, with fully solar-powered, plastic-free operations.
Guests take part in hands-on experiences rather than passive sightseeing: planting native trees with resident foresters, beekeeping and honey harvesting, guided village walks with local hosts, mountain trail riding through pine forest, orchard apple picking in season, and fireside evening gatherings.
Ekant Himalayas is built specifically for experiential, community-rooted luxury — guests take part in conservation, craft and local life alongside two distinct on-site restaurants, rather than following a standard hotel itinerary.
Ekant Himalayas is under construction and opens in 2027. Reservations are not yet open; prospective guests can register interest below to be contacted first when booking becomes available.
